A Thoughtful Process That Builds Confidence

At Ridgewood Home Construction, we believe your remodeling experience should be as well-designed as your finished space. That’s why we follow a process that prioritizes planning, communication, and attention to detail, so you always know what to expect, what’s included, and what comes next. We finalize designs, selections, and budgets up front to ensure a smoother construction phase, a stronger outcome, and a more enjoyable experience from start to finish.

 

Our Design-Build Process

01

Initial Contact & Discovery

Your journey begins with a quick phone call. Rich will talk through the work you’re considering, ask about your goals, and provide general budget ranges. If it seems like a good fit, we’ll schedule an in-home consultation to dive deeper.

In-Home Visit & Measurements

During this visit, Rich will walk through your space, take measurements and photos, and continue the budget conversation. He’ll gather insight into layout ideas, homeowner priorities, and potential solutions.

Preliminary Design & Budget Estimate

Behind the scenes, Rich, Alissa, and Teresa collaborate to develop a preliminary design concept and create a budgetary estimate with a price range. Then Rich and Alissa meet with you to present the proposed scope of work, initial renderings, and the budget range.

Trade Walkthrough & Design Agreement

If you’re ready to move forward, we’ll schedule an on-site walkthrough with our trusted trade partners to confirm fixed-price estimates for labor and installation. At this point, you’ll receive a formal pre-selection fixed-price proposal and a Design & Planning Agreement to begin the final phase.

Design Selections & Review

Now it’s time to make it yours. You’ll work with Alissa to finalize all your design selections, like cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, fixtures, and more. We’ll refine the plan together to match your vision, timeline, and budget.

Final Pricing & Proposal

With selections finalized, we’ll prepare a fully itemized, fixed-price proposal. Everything is clearly outlined, so you’ll know exactly what’s included and what it costs, no vague allowances or surprises.

Permitting & Schedule

Once approved, we’ll obtain any required permits and finalize the construction schedule. You’ll get your start date, project timeline, and clear communication around what to expect before we begin.

Construction & Completion Walkthrough

Our crew gets to work, maintaining a clean and respectful jobsite and keeping you informed every step of the way. Once your project wraps up, we’ll do a final walkthrough to ensure every detail meets our standards. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we back it with a warranty for added peace of mind.
