When a homeowner in Sparta, Michigan, needed more functional space for their family, they turned to Ridgewood to transform their unfinished basement. We designed a fully livable extension of their home—complete with a cozy bedroom, a full bathroom, a bright living area, and a beautifully designed kitchenette.

Custom Brighton cabinetry, quartz countertops, and a tile backsplash brought elegance and functionality to the kitchenette, while built-in storage in the family room added organization without sacrificing style. The bathroom was finished with durable fixtures, a fiberglass shower, and clean, modern finishes. From drywall to final trim, this project turned a once-unused space into a warm, welcoming retreat the whole family can enjoy.
